Pearl Boutonnieres
The Materials
The Process
1. I bought 24 gauge wire and used 20 of the various sized pearls to make the main part of Matt's corsage. I'll add 10 or so of the black glass beads when they come in.
2. I made the pearl stems for all the boutonnieres; 15 stems for the best man and our dads, 12 stems for the ushers (theirs will be only pearls), 10 stems for the groomsmen, and 8 stems for the ring bearer.
3. I added the stems with the beads on them (since the beads were small, I put two on each stem) and added them to the pearl stems.
4. I tied the stems together with another piece of wire and trimmed all the ends to the around the same length.
5. I wrapped the stems with the wide ribbon and then burned the end so it wouldn't fray.
6. I tied the smaller ribbon around the stems and made a bow.
7. I fanned out the tops of the stems.
8. I used the hot glue gun to attach the flat-backed pins so we can pin them on the groomsmen
